The encounters with the existing house are resolved by means of transitional spaces: another courtyard is added on the southeast front and, on the southwest, a corridor with zenithal lighting that runs from one side of the house to the other.

“In our architecture, we avoid using too many different materials. We prefer to highlight the intrinsic richness of just one or two”

Due to the restrictive regulations in the region, the house could not be made entirely on one level, resulting in a difference of about fifty centimetres. In relation to the swimming pool, the only place available was on the roof, determining the structure of the project: two huge concrete blocks, one containing the dressing room and laundry, the other housing the stairs leading down to the garage and up to the roof.
